Sportwalk Huddle is an effort aimed at building fan communities in a locality through meet-ups that bring people together under a single roof to talk, play and celebrate the sport they love.
Sportwalk is glad to bring its fantasy draft event in Chennai for the third consecutive year and plans to engage with the Huddle community throughout the summer of 2020.
What is a fantasy draft event?
You might have been playing fantasy cricket with millions of online users but in our event, we offer you something much more exciting.
You can register with your friends as a team and participate in an IPL Auction styled event (with some modifications) where each participating team will get to pick their fantasy XI for IPL 2020. Your XI needs to be picked from within the given virtual budget and fulfilling the eligibility criteria (playing roles / nationalities).
The challenge here is unlike the online fantasy; you won’t get to pick every player you wish for. Once a player is picked by a team, he gets ‘drafted’ into their XI and is not available anymore for other teams.

Who gets to pick the first player? How is the order of the draft decided?
An IPL themed quiz will be held before the draft and the teams are ranked based on the points scored. The order of the player draft shall be dependent on the quiz rankings.
What happens after the draft event?
The participating teams will be awarded points throughout the IPL season based on the performances of their players and the winners will get merchandise from Sportwalk at the end of the season.

By getting to participate in a quiz and a real-time fantasy XI building activity involving several factors, you get an unmatched fan experience and a chance to put your cricketing knowledge to good use. You can also get to connect and interact with fellow cricket enthusiasts from Chennai after the event.
What else should you know about the event?
You can bring a laptop if you wish to use the same for your convenience of monitoring the draft / available players list. Kindly charge your laptop fully before the event.
The quiz features 30 questions and you will miss the initial few questions if you’re late to the event. Please be there by 11 AM to make sure you don’t miss any action.
Please register only if you are 100% sure about your participation. This event can feature only 12 teams and your absence on the event day might take away the opportunity for another team.
